Each September, Mick Dowd stoically carries out the grim task of making room at his over-crowded local cemetery - by exhuming the remains of those buried in old gravesites. But this year is different. This year, he learns it's time to dig up the section containing his wife's grave, and he's forced to confront the rumours that have been swirling around him since her untimely death seven years earlier.
A Staged Reading of A Skull in Connemara was presented at Fionn MacCool's pub on Oct. 20 & 21, 2014. It featured Rosemary Dunsmore (Maryjohnny), Kelly Penner (Mairtin), Rod Ceballos (Mick), and David Mackett (Thomas). Rod Ceballos also directed the reading.
